Languages can play a very important part in people’s lives: they are very useful to get a well paid job but even more so, they give you the communication skills you need to carry out any job you may aspire to.

At City Boys, you have the opportunity to learn one of the two very wide-spread languages, French and Spanish. Our lessons are interactive, motivating and diverse.

We have now a partnership with 2 French schools with which we exchange emails and letters, and we will soon have another partnership with a Spanish-Speaking school.

During the year, you will have the opportunity to attend different language days and events which are organised for you.

From September 2010, a new programme has been put in place. It’s more realistic and innovative with exciting topics, including the French Revolution in Y8 French or the Spanish Inquisition in Y9 Spanish, or Working in the movie industry in Y9 French and Spanish.

We also have two Linguistic trips to Barcelona, Spain and Paris, France where students from all groups will have the opportunity to try the language they learnt in the classroom.
