Social Studies

Social Studies will engage our youngsters and enable them to develop the key skills of learning independently and together through a course that integrates the traditional subject areas of History, Geography, and Religious Education, PSHE and Citizenship into an exploration of the key elements of human and social studies.

Social Studies is based on developing a number of competencies; learning, citizenship, managing situations, relating to people and managing information. It is hoped that by developing these competencies pupils will become life long learners who are equipped with skills to lead them successfully through all areas of their life.
